Run a 5K.
Use www.mapmyrun.com to create a 5K (3.1 miles) route around your neighborhood. Go as fast as you can, and walk, roll, crawl, shuffle, carioca or bunny hop as needed. I really don't care how you do it, but move your body under your own power for 3.1 miles and record your time.
Again, please post your time to the comments. Or, if you're doing some other form of exercise as your homework please post that to the comments as well. Even if you do it on Saturday.

mapmyrun is freakn' awesome! I've seen it before, but never played with it. Now you can totally prove your sister wrong about the distance of her evil long hilly run she makes you go on.
ok I did my little 3.2 route around grant park at a speedy McSpeederson 37min last night. Not fab but damn it was hot.
I went running yesterday at Kennesaw Mountain. I think we did about 2.5 miles. There are no mile markers, so I am not sure, but I know where 1 mile ends and think we went about .25 past that point and then ran back. Did it in 26:25.
On Sunday we are going to Dillenger Park, which does have mile markers, so I will post my official 5K time then.
PS...Becky I am also glad you did not end up in the pond :-)
On wednesday, I power walked on the treadmill for 25 minutes and then did the elliptical for 15 minutes in a nice air-conditioned apartment gym
As much as I "love" running... I opted for hiking 7 mountainous miles in North Georgia, then returning back to my parents house to mow their mountainous lawn in the lower hill country of Mableton. Weather: 95 degrees and sunny, until the rain. Lifted furniture on Sunday and carried many tables and chair down a two story walkup. I'm going back to sleep now. S-
